We believe youth need safe spaces to nurture confidence and pride in their identity as Muslims. Meaning, they need spaces and mentors that:
– provide a judgement-free space to discuss and engage
– are open and able to answer their questions and guide their thoughts
– motivate and inspire them to be better one step at a time
– they can ultimately trust

As parents it can be hard to help your teens navigate their questions and thoughts around Islam and teen life in our society. Part 2 of the Seeds to Roots journey will engage your youth (14-18) through discussions the essentials and often-asked questions on belief, worship and purification.
Topics
– Fiqh of Salah
– Fiqh of Purification
– Fiqh of Fasting
– Islamic beliefs
Under fiqh, we will cover the most important things youth need to know regarding prayer, purification and fasting. The focus will be to provide the essentials to ensure they can confidently carry out their acts of worship.
Under Islamic beliefs, we will have more open dialogue with the youth on questions they have regarding contemporary thoughts around the belief in Allah, the Prophet sallalahu alayhi wasalam, the Hereafter, decree and fate, and more.

Part 1 – Essentials of Islamic beliefs and character development

As parents it can be hard to help your teens navigate their issues, questions, thoughts, etc. In this part of the Seeds to Roots journey we will engage your youth (14-18) through discussions on some of the essentials of Islamic beliefs and character development that are essential for a confident and proud Muslim identity.
Topics
Part 1 of the program is split into two parts: 1) Essentials of belief 2) Essentials of character development.
Under essentials of belief, we will cover the articles of faith and help youth understand principles and proofs that will answer many of the questions that occupy their minds insha’llah.
Under essentials of character development, we will help youth understand the need for high aspirations and self confidence and ways they can build a vision of success for themselves in this life and the next.
